An event was held at the Child Rights Center of Tbilisi State University, with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund and the French Embassy to Georgia. The event was held within the framework of the “Strengthening the Culture of Child Rights” in Georgia” project and it aimed to strengthen youth views and competencies.
One of the objectives of the project “Strengthening the Culture of Child Rights in Georgia" is to reinforce the capacities of Child Rights Centers in universities, with a particular focus on the involvement of young people and the development of their skills in a range of domains, including literacy, multilingualism, mathematical, scientific, engineering and technological competencies, digital competencies, personal, social and learning competencies, citizenship (active citizenship), entrepreneurship, cultural awareness and expression, green skills, and mental health.
Students from a variety of academic disciplines, age groups, and personal interests participated in focus group discussions. They presented a series of interesting mini-projects and initiatives to one another. Subsequent meetings of this nature will be held on a continuous basis at the recently inaugurated Child Rights Center of TSU.
Dear students, if you are interested in participating in the Center’s activities, we kindly request that you contact us at chrc@tsu.ge. Let us collectively endeavor to safeguard the interests of children and uphold their rights.
